PROear EW II – Ear welding and spray machine

Additional handle and ear operations are required. Alongside the body making, coating, and curing steps used for cans, pail production adds ear welding and the fitting of wire or plastic handles.

Welds ears onto pail bodies. The machine feeds the ears and welds them to the body, with the positioning set up for the particular pail format being produced.

For handle attachment. The ears welded to the pail body provide the fixing points to which a wire or plastic handle is later attached, so the finished pail can be carried.

Manufactures and inserts wire handles. This covers both producing the handle and fitting it to the pail, so wire handles can be made and attached as part of the line.

Assembles and applies plastic handles. The machine covers the handle making process and attaches the finished handles to the pails, so handle production and fitting are handled in one step.

Yes. Both wire and plastic handles can be used. PROCAN supplies separate machines for each, with the PROwire machine producing and inserting wire handles and the PROplast machine assembling and applying plastic handles.

Depends on machine configuration. Pail dimensions are part of the machine specification, so the sizes a given line can produce follow from how the equipment has been configured.

Depends on machine design. Whether conical pails can be produced follows from how the machine has been configured for the customer’s product and format requirements.

Depends on product and equipment. As elsewhere in the line, achievable speed follows from the machine models selected and the dimensions of the product being run.

Yes. Multiple pail formats can be produced. Handle equipment can be changed over for different handle lengths, and machines are configured with change parts so the line can run more than one format.
